How It All Started
Like many inventions, Comedy Evaluator Pro was developed from necessity and by accident.
Steve Roye, professional comedian and author of the Killer Stand-up Comedy System, was asked to do some consulting work for Club Med, a worldwide resort organization which provides comedy entertainment for their customers. During the process, Steve was asked the following question by a Club Med executive:
"If we take you on as a consultant, how will we know that we are making improvements?"
Steve didn't have an answer - not at first. Comedy is usually a subjective affair. But he knew one thing for certain - big organizations make decisions based on numbers. So, the next question was - how do you put numbers to comedy?
After several weeks of racking his brain looking for a solution, he developed the methodology for evaluating PAR - Positive Audience Response. Shortly thereafter, he designed and developed Comedy Evaluator Pro - without any prior knowledge of software programming.
A patent for the invention was filed in Oct 2003 and is still pending. Comedy Evaluator Pro was further developed by Steve Roye and made available in an online version at ComedyEvaluatorPro.com.
Comedy Evaluator Pro is specifically designed to work hand-in-hand with the Killer Stand-up Comedy System.
