Comedy Evaluator Pro was developed as an objective quality improvement tool for professional and novice comedians, comedy entertainers and for speakers who incorporate comedy and humor into their presentations.
Comedy Evaluator Pro is specifically designed to work hand-in-hand with the Killer Stand-up Comedy System.
It is a very simple task to objectively analyze your act or presentation using Comedy Evaluator Pro software. The first thing that you need is a recording of your act or presentation that you can listen to in order measure the amount of Positive Audience Response (PAR), you get each minute when you are on stage. PAR consists of laughter, cheering and applause that occur as a result of your performance on stage.
Every professional comedian routinely records his act with a hand held audio recorder or video recorder to improve comedy material and monitor the quality of the performance given.
If you do not have a recording of your act or speech that you can listen to in order to use Comedy Evaluator Pro, this software is of minimal value to you. All serious professionals routinely record their performances for quality review.
Your recording device does not plug into your computer in order to use Comedy Evaluator Pro.
When you play the recording of your act, routine, presentation, etc., you are simply listening for laughter, cheering and applause (PAR events) as it occurs throughout your recorded performance. Comedy Evaluator Pro is designed help you to easily measure the duration of each laugh (or PAR event) that occurs during your recorded performance by pushing a single button or using your mouse.
As you conduct an evaluation of your recorded performance, two data values are displayed on the Comedy Evaluator Pro Evaluation Control Panel:
1. Your PAR Score. Your PAR Score value is the overall percentage of the performance evaluated that resulted in laughter, cheering or applause (PAR).
2. Seconds Of Laugher Each Minute. This value represents the average number of seconds each minute that the audience spent laughing, applauding or cheering during your recorded performance.

Comedy Evaluator Pro also allows you to easily generate valuable overall and minute by minute performance evaluation data that is critical for helping you develop the highest impact comedy act or humorous presentation in the shortest time possible.
It is highly recommended that you review the Report Details section and Getting Results Now! sections in the Software Information Center in order to get the most benefit from this software.

Step-by-step instructions for conducting a performance evaluation are provided below.

If you have your performance on Youtube, you may wish to load it onto the CEP Page first -
Loading a Youtube Video
First:
Press 'Play' on the device you are going to use to listen to your recorded performance. This can be an audio or video device. Then immediately go to Step 1...
Step 1:
Click the Performance Timer Start button or press the Enter key on your keyboard. This will start the evaluation period.

When you Start the Performance Timer the Start button will change to the Stop Evaluation button:
Once you have started the device with the recording of your act (audio or video) and have immediately pressed the Start Performance Button, go to Step 2.
Step 2:
Simply listen for PAR events (laughter, cheering and applause) as they occur on the recording of your performance. When laughs (or PAR events) begin, hover your mouse cursor over the PAR Recorder Record button or hold down your Spacebar.
When the laughter ends (usually when you start talking), move your mouse cursor off of the Record button or release the Spacebar. You will start and stop the PAR Recorder for each PAR event (laughter, cheering and/or applause) that occurs during your recorded performance, measuring the duration of each laugh (or PAR event) as it occurs.
Step 3:
When you are ready to conclude the evaluation, click the Stop Evaluation button or press the "S" key on your keyboard.

Note: When working with longer performances and you wish to take a break, Pause your recorded performance in your Audio/Video player, then immediately click the Performance Timer Stop Evaluation button. When you wish to resume, click the Play button for your recording and immediately click the Performance Timer Start button.
Step 4:
When you click the Stop Evaluation button or press the "S" key on your keyboard, a View Report button will appear. Click the View Report button to produce a detailed, printable report of your performance.
If you would like to conduct another performance evaluation, simply press the Reset Button to reset all performance evaluation values.
Note 1:
It is recommended that you conduct a performance evaluation of a stand-up comedy CD or comedy video featuring a professional comedian in order to get a better idea of the performance level of that comedian and the values associated with a high level comedy performance.

The optimal performance evaluation variables are different for comedians an speakers or presenters. For details, please review the Getting Results Now! section.

Step 1:
Click the "Search Youtube" link to open the Youtube Website in another window.
Step 2:
Search the Youtube Website to find your video.
Step 3:
Click the "Share" button in the Youtube site to gain access to your Sharing URL:
Step 4:
Copy & Paste this URL into the CEP Youtube Loader field and click the "Go" button:
Step 5:
Your Youtube Video will now be loaded onto the same page as the CEP Software. Proceed with playing your Youtube Video and using Comedy Evaluator Pro as instructed above.
